11 Korean Dramas That Will Air in February 2021

1. LUCA: The Beginning


Drama LUCA: The Beginning will air in place of Drama Awaken which will end on January 19, 2021.

Synopsis

The drama LUCA: The Beginning tells that ZO is the subject of a biological experiment created by scientists. It has the same appearance as an ordinary human, but has a special power that makes it a monster inside. In order to live as a human, ZO escapes from the lab when he is young and lives as Ji Oh (played by Kim Rae Won). However, his whole life was chased by a mysterious figure. Tired and tired of being chased and wanting to find answers to living as a human, he returns to the lab to face reality. However, the reality was far more cruel. Ji Oh must choose whether to become a monster, or a god who can control humans.

Meanwhile, Gu Reum (played by Lee Da Hee) is a detective. When he decided to take some action, he wouldn’t change no matter what. His parents disappeared when he was a child. Gu Reum pursues the truth behind her parents’ disappearance. He meets Ji Oh and his life changes.

This drama will air on tvN Cable TV, February 1, 2021, in the Drama slot Monday and Tuesday.

2. Love Scene Number

The new drama from MBC, which will air on Monday Slot, starts airing on February 1, 2021.

Synopsis

Love Scene Number # is a mini drama that discusses the lives of 4 women who are at four different points in their lives with their characters who are 23, 29, 35, and 42 years old. Each of them will face various problems related to other women but it is difficult to express. This drama will explore the innermost thoughts of these four women regarding love, dating, career, marriage, and pregnancy. A turning point that will ultimately affect most women in one stage of life.

Kim Bo Ra will play a 23 year old psychology student. After failing at his first love by taking an academic approach to dating, he dreams of a provocative relationship that is completely different from before. Shim Eun-woo will play a 29-year-old elementary school teacher who lives without many ups and downs in her life and runs away on her wedding day due to a dramatic change of heart.

Ryu Hwa Young is a 35-year-old lecturer and Park Jin Hee, a 42-year-old furniture designer, round out the lineup featuring a four-color charm. In addition, Kim Seung Soo appears as Ryu Hwa Young’s partner and presents a solid melodrama story.

The drama will air on MBC National TV, February 1, 2021, in the Monday Drama slot.

3. River Where the Moon Rises

The drama River Where the Moon Rises will air to replace the Royal Secret Agent Drama which will end on February 23, 2021.

Synopsis

The drama River Where the Moon Rises retells the love story between Pyeonggang and On Dal, who is a character in the classic folk tale of Goguryeo. Pyeonggang (played by Kim So Hyun), also known as Yeom Ga Jin, is an ambitious woman who dreams of becoming the first woman to lead Goguryeo, and she uses On Dal (played by Kim Ji Soo) feelings to achieve her goal.

Pyeonggang was born as a daughter and raised as a soldier. He is smart and level-headed. While On Dal is a man who loves peace and purity who goes against his principles of protecting Pyeonggang. Kang Ha Neul will play On Dal’s father, On Hyup, the chief of the Sunnobu tribe and a Goguryeo general.

Lee Ji Hoon will play the elite general of Go Geon, who is perfect in every way. For the first time in his life, he wants to make Pyeonggang his own and plunge into a fierce battle for his heart. Choi Yoo Hwa will become Hae Mo Yong, who is determined to control Goguryeo and play as he pleases. She is a woman with a beautiful face, a careful personality, a special power to predict the future, and has a big secret of her own. Hae Mo Yong is in love with Go Geon and this will add to the fun between them.

The drama will air on KBS2 National TV, February 15, 2021, in the Drama slot Monday and Tuesday.

4. Hello? It’s Me!

Drama Hello? It’s Me! will air replacing the Drama Cheat on Me, If You Can which will end on January 28, 2021.

Synopsis

Hello? It’s Me! tells of a 37 year old woman named Ban Ha Ni (Choi Kang Hee), who met herself who came from the past, when she was 17 years old Ban Ha Ni [Young] (Lee Re).

Ban Ha Ni (17 years) then comforted and encouraged Ban Ha Ni (37 years) to keep up the spirit and struggle to live a difficult life, especially issues of love, work, and the intention to pursue dreams.

There is also Han Yoo Hyun (Kim Young Kwang), a man who comes from a chaebol / rich person who can do what he wants with money. He is also the son of Han Ji-Man (Yun Ju-Sang), the chairman of the Joah Confectionery.

Han Yoo Hyun also has a cousin named Yang Do Yoon (Ji Seung Hyun), who is also in charge of affairs at Jiah Confectionary and has the possibility to become the successor of the company.

Meanwhile Lee Hong Nyeon (Kim Yong Rim), Ban Ha Ni’s grandmother who is very loving but has dementia.

Oh Ji Eun (Kim Yoo Mi), who has past stories with Ban Ha Ni, and Ahn So Nee (Eum Moon Suk).

The drama will air on KBS2 National TV, February 17, 2021, in the Drama slot on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

5. Sisyphus: The Myth

The drama Sisyphus: The Myth will air to replace the Drama Run On which will end on February 4, 2021.

Synopsis

Sisyphus: The Myth is a mystery fantasy drama that tells the story of Han Tae-Sool (Cho Seung-Woo), a genius engineer and owner of one of the best engineering companies in Korea. Yes, apart from being blessed with a handsome face, Han Tae-Sool is also very skilled in engineering and coding. Han Tae-Sool’s innovation succeeded in elevating his company to an international level, and he is even known as a national hero in the engineering world in Korea.

Even though her life seems perfect, she turns out to be harboring complicated personal problems after the sudden death of her brother 10 years ago. Since then, Han Tae-Sool is determined to reveal the truth about the mastermind behind his strange brother’s death, even though he must face a number of dangers that threaten his life.

6. The Penthouse 2: War in Life

Drama The Penthouse 2: War in Life will air replacing Drama Delayed Justice which will end on January 23, 2021.

Synopsis

The Korean drama The Penthouse 2 follows the story of the previous season, which is about the residents of Hera Palace, a luxury penthouse apartment with 100 floors, which has many secrets and hidden ambitions. Shim Su Ryeon (played by Lee Ji Ah), who was born into wealth, is the queen of the penthouse apartment. Cheon Seo Jin (played by Kim So Yeon), the belle of the residence, does everything she can to give everything for her daughter. Oh Yoon Hee (played by Eugene) comes from a poor family background, but she tries to enter high society by becoming the queen of the penthouse, the pinnacle of success in her eyes. The battle for wealth, power and prestige in Seoul’s most coveted penthouse begins.

After Su Ryeon died, Logan (played by Park Eun Suk) thought Yoon Hee killed him, even though the one who killed Su Ryeon was Joo Dan Tae (played by Uhm Ki Joon), her own husband. 7. Beyond Evil / Monster

The drama Beyond Evil will air to replace Drama Hush which will end on February 6, 2021.

Synopsis

Lee Dong-Sik (Shin Ha-Kyun) was once a capable detective. He now works at the Manyang Police Substation in a small city and does all the tedious chores at the station. His life is quiet there. One day, Detective Han Joo-Won (Yeo Jin-Goo) is transferred to the same police substation. He is assigned to work as Lee Dong-Sik’s boss and also his partner. Han Joo-Won is an elite detective and comes from a distinguished background. His father has a good chance of becoming the next chief at the National Police Agency. Han Joo-Won also has a secret.

A serial murder case takes place in the small, peaceful city. The case is the same serial murder case that took place 20 years ago and changed Lee Dong-Sik’s life. The two detectives work to catch the killer.

8. Vincenzo

The drama Vincenzo will be broadcast replacing the Drama Mr. Queen which will end on February 14, 2021.

Synopsis

The Korean drama Vincenzo tells the story of a boy at the age of 8, Park Joo-Hyeong went to Italy after he was adopted. He is now an adult and has the name of Vincenzo Casano (Song Joong-Ki). He is a lawyer, who works for the Mafia as a consigliere. Because of a war between mafia groups, he flees to South Korea. In South Korea, he gets involved with Lawyer Hong Cha-Young (Jeon Yeo-Bin). She is the type of attorney who will do anything to win a case. Vincenzo Casano falls in love with her. He also achieves social justice by his own way.

9. Times

Drama Times will air replacing Drama The Uncanny Counter which will end on January 24, 2021.

Synopsis

Drama Times is a time series drama set in 2015 and 2020. In 2015 it tells the story of Lee Jin Woo (played by Lee Seo Jin) who works as a reporter, his life only centers on pursuing the truth. Meanwhile in 2020, Seo Jung In (played by Lee Joo Young) is also a reporter. Jung In follows in his father’s footsteps to become a famous reporter. Everything was fine for him and his family until the day after his birthday in 2019 everything changed instantly.

Something from the past changed, which changed Seo Jung In’s entire life. His father was assassinated in the 2015 presidential election, his house was turned into a country apartment, and he found himself a journalist for a small web news company. no one listened to her and thought she had a mental illness. Somehow, Seo Jung In got in touch with reporter Lee Jin Woo from five years ago through a phone call. They try to prevent the death of South Korean President Seo Ki Tae (played by Kim Young-Chul), who is also Seo Jung In’s father. Soon, Lee Jin Woo and Seo Jung In face a dangerous truth.

This drama will air on OCN Cable TV, February 20, 2021, in the Drama slot on Saturdays and Sundays.

10. Mouse

Drama Mouse will air to replace Drama True Beauty which will end on February 4, 2021.

Synopsis

Drama Mouse will present a tense story related to psychopaths, where it can be said that humans can identify psychopaths through DNA testing of fetuses from the mother’s womb. With key questions around “would you have had children if you found out they were a psychopath?”

Jung Ba Reum (played by Lee Seung Gi) is a rookie detective and is known for his honest nature. He tries to find justice until Jung Ba Reum comes face to face with a psychopath serial killer where his cruel murder has made the entire nation full of chaos. After surviving his encounter with the psychopath, Jung Ba Reum’s life begins to change completely.

The drama will air on tvN Cable TV, February 24, 2021, in the Drama slot on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

11. Dear. M

The new KBS2 drama, which will air on Friday Slot, starts airing on February 26, 2021.

Synopsis

The Korean drama Dear M tells the story of a search being made for “M” who wrote something on the Seoyeon University community site. The writing stirred the entire campus.

Ma Joo A (played by Park Hye Soo) is a 2nd year student in the Department of Business Administration at Seoyeon University. She has a warm heart and a carefree personality. He has no interest in pursuing dreams or having romantic relationships. He has never had a girlfriend before.

Cha Min Ho (played by Jung Jae Hyun) is a 2nd year student in the Computer Science Department at Seoyeon University. He has a talent for developing applications with innovative ideas. He has been friends with Ma Joo A for 12 years.

Seo Ji Min (played by Roh Jeong Eui) is a student at the Department of Economics at Seoyeon University. He is also a member of the school’s cheerleading squad.

Park Ha Neul (played by Bae Hyun Sung) is a student in the Department of Business Administration at Seoyeon University and he is an ambassador for the university.

The drama will air on KBS2 National TV, February 26, 2021, in the Friday Drama slot.
